Embedding Visual Markups in Chart Notes

Updated over a year ago

Adding a Visual Markup with a Chart Note

To add a marked up image to a chart note, you have two options:

  • Type "/" and select insert photo markup

  • Select the markup icon to insert an image

In either case, the photo will be added where your cursor currently is in the note.

Marking up a photo

Once you choose to insert an image, you'll be prompted to choose a template or a patient photo to use for your visual note taking

If you have a previous markup for the same procedure in that patient's profile, you can also use Patient Photos to pull that directly into the note:

Once you select the photo or template to markup, you'll have the option to add lines or text to the image to capture the procedure you completed. You can adjust line widths and colors via the controls on the right side of the screen:

When a markup is completed and you hit "Done", the marked up photo will be saved to the patient profile in the photos tab and added to the note. The markup will not replace the original photo.
