How to create a new provider, or edit an existing provider record


How to Create or Edit a Provider in Prospyr

Managing provider profiles in Prospyr keeps your records current and ensures patients have access to the right specialists. Follow these steps to create a new provider or update an existing one.

Step 1: Go to Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Resources, then select Providers.

Step 3: Click Create to add a new provider.

Step 4: Enter the provider’s first name, last name, and email address.

Step 5: Fill in the provider’s phone number and select the related user.

Step 6: (Optional) Enter the provider’s date of birth.

Step 7: (Optional) Add a profile picture.

Step 8: Input the provider’s address. If you don't have the provider's home address, the clinic address will suffice (this is not patient facing).

Step 9: Select one or more locations where the provider will work. Click the “x” to remove a location if needed.

Step 10: Click Create Provider to finish adding the provider.

Step 11: Scroll to the Booking and Capabilities section.

Step 12: Toggle the switch if the provider should be bookable online.

Step 13: Set a booking buffer if advance notice is required for appointments (e.g., 24 hours).

Step 14: Click Update Settings.

Step 15: To adjust workdays and hours, click Schedule.

Step 16: Select the days the provider will work and adjust hours as needed. Use the trash can to remove a shift or the plus sign to add it back.

Step 17: Go to the Services section. Choose which services the provider can perform. Select all, individual categories, or specific services.

Step 18: Click Save Changes to complete the setup.

Step 19: Your provider profile is now complete.


Editing an Existing Provider

Keep records up to date by editing provider details when needed.

Step 1: Go to the Providers list and click Edit next to the provider you’d like to update.

Step 2: Adjust any section of the provider’s profile as required.

Step 3: If the provider can prescribe, update credentials and licenses here, including state license, NPI, or NDA numbers if applicable.
