How to Create and Publish Facebook and Instagram Posts in Prospyr

Create and publish Facebook and Instagram posts, Stories, and Reels directly from Prospyr.

Before you Begin

Before continuing, make sure you have:

Start a new post

1. Go to Social Media in the left-hand menu. This opens to your Post History and shows everything you've already posted or scheduled.

Choose your photo or video

1. Click Add Image or Add Video (for a video post or Reel).

2. Prospyr shows your available photos or videos. Use the filters at the top to Search by patient, Search by tag, Search by date range, Search by type, and Search by consent to find what you're looking for.

3. Each item is labeled Can Post or Requires Consent, based on whether the patient has an active consent on file for that photo or video.

4. Click the photo or video you want, then click Next.

Edit your media

1. Prospyr opens your photo or video in the design editor. Use the tools on the left: Templates, Elements, Images, Text, Shapes, Stickers, and Uploads to add graphics, text, or other elements before you post.

2. If you're editing a video, a timeline appears below the preview. Use Add Clip to add another clip, or Split Clip to cut the current clip at the playhead.

3. To change the size or shape of your post, click Resize Page in the right-hand panel. Prospyr includes preset sizes for different platforms, such as:

  • Landscape Post (1.91:1) and Portrait Post (4:5) for Instagram

  • Cover Photo and Shared Image for Facebook

Click More under a platform to view additional sizes.

4. When you're finished editing, click Save & Continue.

Enter your post details

  1. Choose a Post type:

  • Post – a standard feed post

  • Story – disappears after 24 hours

  • Reel – a short-form video (video posts only)

2. Write a Caption, if you'd like one.

Note: If you choose Story, the caption field disappears. Instagram and Facebook don't accept captions on Stories.

3. Choose whether to Post now or Schedule it for later.

4. Under Select accounts, choose which connected Facebook Page and/or Instagram account(s) should receive this post.

Publish

1. Click Done.

2. Prospyr returns you to the Social Media page. Your new post appears in Post History with its caption and a status such as Posted or Scheduled.
