Requirements
iOS or iPadOS device running iOS 17 or newer. We recommend being on the latest iOS when possible.
For Apple devices with a USB-C connector: a USB-C to USB-C, Micro USB, or Mini USB data cable. Make sure one side can connect to your Apple device, and the other can connect to the USB port of your Canon camera.
For Apple devices with a Lightning connector: Apple Lightning to USB 3.0 Camera Adapter, or Apple Lightning to USB-C Adapter and appropriate USB cable to connect to your camera.
Setup
In the Prospyr Mobile app, visit Settings -> Camera and toggle the "Use External Camera" switch on.
Ensure your camera is connected to your iOS device and powered on.
If prompted, allow Camera/Photo Library access for Prospyr Mobile.
When opening the Camera view, you should now see a live view of your Canon Camera. The capture button in the app will trigger the shutter on your camera, and will transfer and upload images from the tethered camera automatically.
Common Troubleshooting Issues
Ensure your camera is not in a "movie" mode - Prospyr can't take still photos when this hardware setting is on.
