Record consumable usage
You can record consumable usage directly in the appointment note or as part of a photo markup.
From the appointment note:
Select Insert → Add Consumables, or type / consumables.
In the Appointment Consumables section, select Manage Consumable.
Under the appropriate service, choose the inventory item or lot used.
Enter the quantity used and save.
When you save the individual consumable, Prospyr automatically removes that quantity from the appointment location’s available inventory. If you later change the quantity, inventory adjusts by the difference. Removing the consumable returns the quantity to the location’s inventory.
From photo markup:
Select Insert → Photo Markup and choose the patient photo.
Add your treatment annotations.
Assign the consumable and quantity used to each marked treatment location.
Save the markup.
Consumables recorded through photo markup are linked to the corresponding annotations and appear beneath the photo as Used in markup above, including the location and quantity.
Important: Do not enter the same consumable again through Add Consumables if you already recorded it through photo markup, as this can result in duplicate usage being recorded.
Confirm consumable usage
To confirm what was recorded in the note:
Scroll down to the consumable usage section.
Review the consumable, type, and quantity recorded.
Confirm the information matches what was used during the appointment.
To verify the inventory adjustment:
Go to Settings → Inventory → Inventory.
Search for the consumable.
Confirm the location where the appointment was scheduled. Hover over the location names as needed, then select the inventory for that location.
Select the History (clock) icon.
Review the inventory history and confirm that the correct consumable and quantity were removed from that location’s inventory.
