PatientFi is now built directly into the invoicing experience, making it easy to enroll new patients and offer financing without leaving Prospyr. Start a PatientFi application, guide patients through enrollment, receive an instant financing decision, and complete payment all from the invoice, even if the patient has never used PatientFi before.
Step 1: Open the patient's profile and create an invoice as you normally would.
Step 2: In the invoice’s payment options, look for the PatientFi option. It only appears if PatientFi is enabled in your system.
Step 3: If the patient isn’t already enrolled in PatientFi, you’ll see a prompt showing sample low monthly payments available if they enroll.
Step 4: Click Start Application to begin setting up PatientFi for this invoice.
Step 5: Select the amount you want the patient to apply for on this invoice.
Step 6: Decide whether to send the application link to the patient’s device, or continue the process on the provider app.
Step 7: Since you’re completing enrollment on the provider app, patient authorization is required.
Step 8: The system checks for the patient’s phone number as a security gate. If it’s missing, you’ll be prompted to add one.
Step 9: An OTP (one-time password) is sent to the patient’s phone for authentication. This step happens automatically if the number is already entered.
Step 10: Once verified, you’re redirected to the PatientFi application page to complete enrollment and financing.
Step 1: Choose how much financing to request from PatientFi — you can request more than just the invoice amount if the patient may need extra funds.
Step 2: Adjust the requested amount as needed, then continue.
Step 3: To request the full available amount, use the “max” option.
Step 4: PatientFi reviews the application and instantly approves a spending limit, which may be lower than requested based on their criteria.
Step 5: Review the invoice amount requested against the patient’s total available PatientFi balance.
Step 6: Keep track of the amount applied to this invoice and the overall credit limit.
Step 7: Select a payment plan from the available options. Smaller invoices may offer fewer plans.
Step 8: You can also reject the transaction here if needed. Otherwise, continue.
Step 9: Add a payment method for PatientFi to use for recurring payments.
Step 10: Set up the preferred monthly payment and continue to the agreement summary.
Step 11: Review and accept the PatientFi agreement to finalize enrollment and payment. The payment is now approved with PatientFi.
Step 13: Return to your app — the system will wait for confirmation from PatientFi via webhook.
Step 14: Once you receive the confirmation event, head back to the original invoice.
Step 15: The invoice now shows paid in full with PatientFi as the payment source.
Step 16: Confirm that PatientFi covered the total balance.
