Creating Coupons in Prospyr

Create Invoice Level or Item level Coupons to apply to invoices

1. Navigate to Coupon Settings 0:04

  • Go to your Prosper settings.

  • In the Catalog section, select Coupons.

2. Name Your Coupon 0:11

  • Give your coupon a descriptive name.

3. Add a Coupon Rule 0:11

  • Include a description that appears when hovering over the coupon.

  • Use this space for staff notes or additional information.

4. Set Active Dates 0:21

  • Specify the dates when the coupon will be active.

  • For perpetual coupons, set the expiry date far in the future.

5. Choose Coupon Type 0:40

  • Decide between:

    • Invoice-level coupons: Apply to the total checkout amount (e.g., 50% off).

    • Item-level coupons: Apply to specific items.

6. Configure Item-Level Coupons 1:17

  • If creating an item-level coupon (e.g., 10% off retail products):

    • Set the discount amount.

    • Go to configure rules.

7. Select Locations for Use 1:26

  • Choose specific locations or select all locations where the coupon can be used.

8. Define Applicability of the Coupon 1:37

  • Specify what the coupon can be applied to:

    • Categories, specific services, products, packages, memberships, or promotions.

9. Set Configuration Limits 2:01

  • Limit how many times the coupon can be applied per invoice:

    • Check the unlimited box for all retail products.

    • Set a maximum number of items if needed.

10. Create the Coupon 2:32

  • Click 'Create Coupon' to finalize.

11. Understand Coupon Application Order 2:43

  • Note that fixed amount coupons are applied before percentage-based coupons:

    • Example: $100 off followed by 50% off will apply $100 first, then 50% off the remaining amount.
