Introduction to Merge Tags
Merge tags pull information from the medical info tab on the patient's profile.
Information must be filled out in the patient's intake forms for merge tags to work effectively.
Note that custom intake form questions will not track back to the patient profile, and therefore cannot be called into a note with merge tags.
Using Merge Tags
To bring a merge tag into a note, type {{{ brackets and select the desired information.
The selected information will replace the brackets in the note.
If the information is not filled out in the patient's medical info tab, the merge tag will show as "no value."
Best Practices for Merge Tags
Merge tags are most effective when used in SmartNote templates.
Information to be brought in should be included in the SmartNote template.
Application of Merge Tags
When the SmartNote template is used in a note, all information will be automatically pre-populated based on the merge tags used.
