Simplifying Lab Orders with Loom
Access the Lab System via the Labs option on the main menu
Use the main menu to access labs
The first time you use the system, you'll need to agree to terms and conditions to gain access to the lab system.
Ordering Labs for a Patient
Select the patient from the order labs dropdown.
Choose the tests or panels to order from and hit continue.
Add tests needed for the patient from available tests or by searching.
Include order notes, priority, or test notes on the right side.
Finalizing the Order
Attach diagnostic codes if required.
Select billing account (practice or patient).
Save as a quick order if this is a common panel you plan to reorder
Validate the order and print it if required.
E-sign and submit the order to the lab company.
Viewing Results
Check results in the results section.
Access any messages related to the lab orders in messages
View PDF of lab results once orders are received in results (results will also be delivered directly to the patient document folder)
Using Labs from the patient profile
Order labs directly from the patient profile.
Lab results will be documented in the patient's profile.
