How to create and use flowsheets to track data over time

Flowsheets allow you to track patient data over time in a way that is easy to review, update, and chart. You can customize exactly what parameters are tracked and how they display in notes. Common use cases for flowsheets includes:

  • Weight Loss Programs (example parameters: weight, BMI, Body Fat %, dosage)

  • Hormone replacement therapies (insertion location, dosages)

  • Laser Device Settings (frequency, intensity, etc.)

  • Injectables treatments (units of tox by area)

  1. Accessing Existing Flowsheets or Creating New Ones

    • Go to settings, flowsheets.

    • Pre-existing flowsheets are displayed.

    • Click on a flowsheet to edit parameters.

  2. Editing Parameters in a Flowsheet

    • Delete parameters by clicking X or add new ones by clicking within the box.

    • Submit changes when done.

  3. Creating new Parameters

    • Click on manage parameters to view the list.

    • Add a new parameter by clicking the plus sign, providing a title, type (fraction, number, text), and unit.

    • Hit Submit to create the new parameter.

  4. Creating a New Flowsheet

    • Go back to manage flowsheets.

    • Click on add, give the flowsheet a title, and select desired parameters.

    • Hit submit to add the new flowsheet.

  5. Inserting a Flowsheet into a Note

    • Type forward slash in the note.

    • Select the flowsheet to work with.

    • Use "Enter new data" to add a new row of data to the flowsheet

    • Hit "Insert into note" to add the flowsheet as a table (you can also choose parameters and date)

    • Select the chart option to create a chart for a specific parameter to display in the note
