What is a “User Role”?
If you navigate to Settings > Team and select any Team member, you will see that there is a “Role” selection dropdown in the lower right of the screen.
What are the various roles best used for?
Let’s go role by role, and talk about what users with that role can / can’t do.
Owner - this is the most powerful role in Prospyr, you have access to everything the system has to offer. These are usually business owners, medical directors, surgeons, doctors, etc.,
Office Admin - this is the second most permissive role, and Office Admin will be able to access everything in settings that an Owner can. The major difference between the two are in sensitive / potentially destructive actions like deleting invoices that only an Owner is allowed to do.
Provider - this role is for staff members that can be booked for appointments and provide services to patients, their configuration settings are limited
Marketer - this role is limited to accessing only the tools needed to manage the practice's marketing campaigns. It prevents access to unnecessary PHI when working with a 3rd party marketing firm.
